Wow I never saw this one coming! A few weeks ago we reported on a “Zack Slow” and his attempt to raise funds for a date with Lady Sovereign, at the time I thought the idea was laughable at best and tried my best not to come across as insulting but exactly 1 month after starting his fund raising effort he had recieved $10,000 in donations from visitors to his site.
Then his dream came true when Lady Sovereign arrived at his doorstep and the two of them went out on a date, apparently Sovereign’s manager contacted Zack and set the date up and the two managed to blow the $10,000 on a limo ride and a yacht stocked full of alcohol.
“It was definitely one of the most fun nights I’ve ever had,” Slow wrote in his online journal. “I feel really lucky to have been able to do this.”

Some of fans can be pretty obsessed, next month Lady Sovereign has a show in downtown San Francisco and one local fan ha come up with a wacko but creative way to meet the lady herself!
Zach Slow is the fans name and he’s going crazy over the upcoming concert, so excited he launched a website to get donations to help pay for a date with the singing sensation after the concert.
“The idea is that I really want to meet and party with Lady Sovereign after she performs in my hometown of San Francisco on June 9th, 2006,” Slow writes in the site’s FAQs. “I want you guys to decide what we do on our night out together—so to make the night more fun, I’ll only be spending money on her that you guys donate to this project.”
Slow says he’s “older than Lady Sovereign, but younger than M.I.A…around the same age as Kris Kross”—claims he is not a stalker and explains, “I don’t want to date her. As a matter of fact I’ve never been good at relationships. This is just strictly partying for 6 or so hours and having a great time.”

While the video quality is kinda poor their aren’t many interview tapes floating around the web for Lady Sovereign and the quality of the interview definately makes up for any short coming with the video.. I have to say I love her accent more and more everytime I hear her talk!
Anyways enough gushing its a good interview and the good folks at youtube are hosting it so check it out you won’t be disappointed
